There are many obstacles in our lives, whether personal or work related. So how does one overcome these? How do you stay focused and committed to a task when everything appears to be against you – hindering or even stopping your progress!
So how do you overcome obstacles when managing your own home based marketing business? Obstacles come in all shape and sizes, but how do you overcome the challengers when defeat is calling to you, when you start to become weary, are starting to give your business less attention and feel like quitting? How do you know whether or not you should call it a day or whether to continue?

Ideas working from home are on the increase and this is probably because the idea all sounds very attractive. It is not surprising therefore why so many are tempted to give it ago. Many would have no prior skills or knowledge, but the idea of earning a great sale commissions all sounds very appealing hence the initial motivation, hype and enthusiasm. If following an affiliate programme or one of the many multi level marketing opportunities then you will be fed with encouragement and a ‘will do can do’ attitude. This is a good start as you will need this to be taken to a different place if you are to succeed.
However, initially you will be supported, but invariably there will come a point whilst managing your business when you start to become vulnerable – start to question, have doubts of your ability and to question whether it is all worth it. You will start to find more excuses not to work on your business as oppose of reasons to continue. You may even start listening to those voices “I told you it wouldn’t work” and voices from those non believers that surround you. Does this resonate with you?
Granted we are not all cut-out to display what is required to succeed – that perspective of a leader. As a result, many small business marketing ideas fail within the first five years. The question is whether your business is going to be one more to add to the stats?
No matter what business you are in, but unless you have the mindset in believing that you will succeed which drives compassion and tenacity then you will struggle. If you believe that you are in a viable business then you need to hold onto that belief and focus on your goals. Have you set any goals? Having goals is a great way to keep you focused through your journey. The goals can be small or large, but either way is a method to help you move along.
